Specializing in a wide range of stair installations from Solid treads, Slab treads, Fullwrap treads, or Custom volutes. Clients can choose how thick of nosing they want, what profile; such as rounded or with a square radius, and if they want slip-resistant silica added to the finish. Touchwood has the ability to match the stain, texture, and finish of the prefinished hardwood on all of our custom made wooden accessories.
Stair Treads - Open Risers
Highly popular in today's market place are open risers. These treads can be slab treads on their own anchored into the stringers or full wrapped treads that clad the construction ply on the existing stairs.
Stair Treads - Winders
Winder Treads have one side of the tread deeper than the other side. They will always appear curved. Clients can choose solid or strip flooring on the treads. Risers and stringers can be a wood veneer or painted or open. Sometimes winders are open on one side and Touchwood has to make the treads with returned ends so the spindles can be anchored into each custom made tread.
Stair Treads - Traditional
Traditional treads tend to have risers and stringer, and stringer capping. They can have wood risers or painted risers. These can be straight or bowed front.
